The inspiration for the title of this blog comes from the Doctrine and Covenants of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). In late 1831, an ex-LDS named Ezra Booth published some newspaper articles against his former faith. Joseph Smith received a revelation in response to this to go forth and preach the gospel. In part, the revelation stated
"Wherefore, confound your enemies; call upon them to meet you both in public and in private; and inasmuch as ye are faithful their shame shall be made manifest. Wherefore, let them bring for their strong reasons against the Lord" (Doctrine and Covenants 71:7-9).
I will, from time to time, address some "strong reasons" given by anti-Mormons against the Church as well as will present some of my own "strong reasons" for the truthfulness of the LDS Church.
