An Ancient Setting for the Book of Mormon
So, most of you probably had already read it when I started it a few weeks ago. It's one of those topics that didn't interest me very much for a long time. Recently, however, I decided to take it up. I must say, I've enjoyed it greatly. I think John L. Sorenson builds a wonderful case that the Book of Mormon took place in ancient Mesoamerica. For what it is worth, I highly recommend the book to any who doubt the Book of Mormon had a real setting in ancient America.

If you're in Utah, Mark Alan Wright, a Mesoamerican archaeology specialist, will be speaking at 7:00pm tonight at the Olivewood Bookstore in Provo, probably on themes of the Book of Mormon and New World archaeology. I think FAIR will record it and put it up on YouTube within a couple weeks.
Yeah, I really want to go. However, I have to watch the kids since my wife has a church meeting :( Lame, I know. Please keep me updated about such things. I'm here in the happy valley. If you would ever like to come over for dinner, drop me a line.
